Kale Wilk is a multimedia journalist based in northwest Indiana, an area simply dubbed "The Region." His digital producer position at the Times of Northwest Indiana takes him around Indiana's three northernmost counties, Chicago and its southwest Illinois suburbs.
Kale brings a thoughtful, creative aesthetic to his work, whether its in his visuals, soundbites or articles. His experience ranges from covering festivals to interviewing community leaders and politicians. He seeks out the important stories in different communities in order to paint the most accurate picture of people's lives, struggles and dreams.
Kale grew up in Schererville, a town in the Region, and earned a journalism degree from Indiana University. He continues to lives in his hometown.
